A Sophisticated Senior Shoot | Senior Couture Session
Class of 2022 there’s nothing they can’t do!
The first look of Ashley’s session was this Lavender tulle gown. I absolutely love working with these types of dresses because of the many ways you can use the fabric to create exceptional images. I love Ashley’s expression in the top image of this outfit. She looked so elegant in this dress. I have a beautiful field just down the block from my studio, so on this windy day we ran outside from my studio and shot some afternoon images. I personally LOVE shooting in full sun! It’s a skill I’ve honed over the years, and along with my PROFOTO b10 lights I’m able to control the light enough for fills and shadows. The wild flowers were just starting to bloom. There’s a major highway just behind me as I’m taking this image but you wouldn’t know if by the serene expression on Ashley’s face. Haha!
It’s so not too early to start celebrating our graduating seniors of 2022! These students have been through unprecedented times and have managed to come out stronger, kinder, and savvier than before! Ashley is a very cool and collected young woman. She told me, she was a little nervous at first, since this was her first professional photoshoot… But after a few test shots Ashley came into her own and started posing more confidently and modeling from head to toe to face! :) She said she felt most powerful and comfortable in the black jumpsuit that we styled together from her fashion consult in my LMC Style Closet. I just love how the chunky earrings play along with Ashley’s tall and powerful poses. Once the nerves wore off we were in full on fashion shoot mode!
The 90’s meets Mod meets ‘22 Seniors
One of my favorite looks was this satin dress. It doesn’t look like much on the hanger but once we got it on and she started moving around in it the dress came to life. Ashley gave this dress a whole new outlook on being a dress! lol I could see these images on Seventeen Magazine for a Modern 90’s inspiration look.
You all know I LOVE COLOR but Ashley definitely has me appreciating some black and white. When you book a session with me you will get access to an online gallery where you can choose your favorite images from the session. A certain number of which I then edit and can even print for you. Product purchase options are available on the Senior Sessions page of my website. Ashley really loved her images in black and white and grey scale. I could see these images in large print on the walls as art in a really nice house.
