Capturing Character: A Sacramento Musician-Comedian's Headshot Session

I LOVE having professionals come in for a Headshot session. this particular time, a fellow comedian from Sacramento Comedy Spot came in for an Industry Headshot Session. Steven is no stranger to the stage. He has been performing improv for years from Pennsylvania to LA to Sacramento and has even ventured into musical improv. I was so happy to provide him with some professional headshots for his “muggle” job and LinkedIn but the real fun started when we focused on his Comedy headshots.
If you are a professional looking for quality headshots, I am here for you! Contact me about booking a session.

Here’s what Steven had to say about his experience working with Lacey M. Carroll Photography:
1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Industry Headshot Session?
Lacey makes an effort to help clients feel comfortable and welcome in her studio. I knew that she would go above and beyond to keep the atmosphere light and fun so that we could capture truly happy moments.
2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?
It ended up being a lot like I imagined. Lacey took some time beforehand to consult with me on what kind of moods, visuals, etc. I might be interested. She put together a little box of extras that she thought might be useful to accentuate the photos and give them extra pop and then we ultimately just had a lot of fun and laughs taking pictures around the studio!
3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?
I think my favorite, favorite shots are the ones where Lacey incorporated a little bit of her own style and a little bit of my own. For example, when I came in with my keyboard for some musical shots, Lacey found some really neat accents (like an ascot - something I would have never considered) that we used to make the shots unique and very charming!
4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?
Lacey introduced a brand new picture catch phrase (no longer “Say Cheese” but “Say Spaghetti”) and it worked so well! I’ve been using the “spaghetti” photo word ever since.
5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?
No - Lacey’s pre-shoot guide was very helpful and it made the shoot simple and efficient!
6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?
Nothing else! Lacey’s the best.
