Fía’s Art Deco Glam - Senior Session in Sacramento

Fía is an extraordinary teenager who is part of the 2025 graduating class! She is so smart and kind, and one of the best at dynamic posing I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my fifteen years as a Senior Portrait photographer in the Sacramento area. She’s been a part of Team LMCP since her sophomore year of high school and I have seen incredible growth and a constant glow from her! When we need some morale or someone to get the squad together, Fía is the first one to jump in. She is a part of the ASB student government at her school, an incredible dance instructor, and manages to hold down a job while excelling in her final year of high school.

This is Fía, each of these looks were ideas that she had in mind that we were able to bring to life. I had the incredible talents of Mai and Sara working on her 3 hair and 3 makeup looks. Yes, she went all out for her Senior Portraits and opted for our most inclusive HMUA offering! Each one as unique and glamorous as she is. Starting off the day with our Art Deco Old Hollywood glam inspired look. After totally nailing the glitz and glamour aesthetic we went to another downtown Sacramento neighborhood for Fía’s second look. She wanted to mix and match some fun patterns together and we added in some color too! My favorite image from this look is the cover photo of this blog! It was an impromptu moment where I said to get down inside an artsy bike rack and she killed it. We headed back to my professional photos studio in Sacramento and finished off the day with a Harajuku inspired hairstyle complete with tiny stuffed animals!! You have to scroll down to see! It was an incredible way to end the day of this Couture Senior Portrait Session!

So proud of the 2025 senior. Let us know in the comments what your favorite look is!

1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Senior Couture Session?

I chose Lacey M Carroll as my photographer for my Senior Couture Session because Lacey and her team have always provided me the best experience. From picking out the outfit all the way to being encouraged to try new posing, I always feel supported by Lacey and I have the best time!

2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?

I envisioned my photoshoot to have versatility. I knew I wanted to try so many different looks and when I talked about it with Lacey she was 110% all in for it. I ended up wearing a dress that Lacey had picked out specifically for the shoot and I could not be more grateful for her efforts in order to make the look a reality.

3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?

In the end, my favorite looks were all of them. Each one was so different from the other that made it so beautifully thought out and there was no way I could pick a favorite.

4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?

Similar to not having a favorite looks, I cannot pick a favorite moment of the whole photoshoot. We were able to travel around Sacramento, change the looks quickly and easily, and I am beyond grateful that my mom was there. The whole photoshoot was my favorite part!

5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?

If I were to go back in time and do the photoshoot differently, I would not change a thing! The photoshoot went smoothly and I had a great time. I enjoy the days that I spend with Lacey, her team, and my family. From the makeup down to the details of jewelry, I truly believe that Lacey creates perfection with each shoot that makes the mode feel special.

6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?

Thank you so much!

After working with Lacey for four years, she has been so kind, patient, positive, inclusive, and so much more. Me and my family love Lacey because she has gone out of her way to create a different shoot each time and give us a great experience. I love how creative she is because there is no one else’s that has her skill, talent, and passion for what she does.

7. How has being on TeamLMCP impacted you?

Being on TeamLMCP impacted me by teaching me about responsibility. After 9th grade, I joined the team and have been put in charge of booking my shoots and communicating. Though I had many rough moments and caused many miscommunication, Lacey and Michelle have been there to teach me about growing and keeping my promises. I thank everyone on the team for what I have and what I have learned.

8. Any advice you want to give incoming Seniors of the Class of 2026?

To the incoming Seniors of the Class of 2026, take this opportunity to get the Senior photoshoot you desire! Lacey will make it happen and provide one of the best experiences of your life. Also for Senior year, enjoy every minute of it and do ALL of the activities!
