Couples Photoshoot | Heather + Paul | Northern California

Heather and Paul's couples photoshoot was awesome.True Story: Heather is my hairstylist and she also collaborates with me on photo shoots for my clients styled session packages. YOU CAN CHECK OUT HEATHERS WORK HERE! Heather came to my studio for some photo shoot prep for another awesome client Tashjane'. While doing Tash's hair, she saw the dress pictured hanging on my #LMCStyleCloset rack and SWOONED! Little did she know, I was pretty sure it was TOTALLY her size and would be great for an upcoming shoot with her partner Paul. When I got this floral print maxi, I totally had her cute self in mind. The fact Heather pointed it out without me mentioning it, made me smile... She tried it on and BOOM! Fabulousness! I'm loving this floral maxi dress trend right now! Next, we talked about styling Paul her handsome beau. We wanted something neutral and not too matchy with her gorgeous dress, but something that would still compliment her style. I'm a sucker for rolled up sleeves and a good brown oxford shoe aren't you? I think they both look great for this couples photoshoot.Couples Photoshoot  Photographer for Couples As you can see, Paul and Heathers connection is clear as day. It made photographing them a joy. We started off a little earlier than usual, since Auburn is a bit of a drive from Sacramento.

The start of this couples photoshoot was on a hill overlooking a GIANT valley in Auburn. It was bright and sunny so I instead of fighting the direct sunlight, I decided to use it to get different shots. With the help of my assistant (my husband that day) we used my silver reflector to make the most out of the sunshine.Couples engagement photographer

Heather and Paul giggled, danced and smiled in the sunshine, but it was getting pretty warm and I was hoping for a little more greenery. That is when I decided we should follow highway 49 to the River Confluence for some more photos down the hill.

During the photoshoot I found this plant covered rock wall, which was awesome. How could I NOT use it?

In the photo above, the light was so dreamy that I had to capture it.

I hope you enjoyed this couples session. I love that Heather and Paul were able to do a 'Just Because' session with me. You don't need a major milestone in your life for fantastic photos. Sometimes you need them... just because. <3

XOXO,
