McKenna’s Couture Sacramento Senior Session

McKenna is another exemplary graduating senior of the class of 2025! She has been a part of the LMCP Team since her sophomore year and we have loved getting to know her and watch her grow into the incredible young adult that she is!

This Natomas Charter senior is an avid musical theatre performer, a budding director, and big sister. She’s involved in her high schools afterschool clubs as well as involved in local Sacramento theatre productions. We wanted to highlight McKenna’s theatrical world and opportunities with her Senior Couture Session. Her first look was a more classic commercial headshot look. She used these when she applied to numerous Musical Theatre programs across the U.S., your senior can get similar headshots for college applications, job, and even summer internships with their Senior Session.

Each senior session is customized to highlight and celebrate the uniqueness of each graduating senior! You can choose to have an all outdoor session or an all indoor session, or, mix it up! McKenna chose to have a hybrid session with her first looks starting at our Sacramento Photo Studio. We then moved to our on-location Sacramento spots. We HAD to head to Tower Theater in the Land Park area for McKenna. This classic movie theatre was part of how she fell in love with performance. The Tower Theatre and Tower district in Sacramento is right with local history and we are honored to be a part of it now with these stunning Senior Portraits! - Fun fact: Each Senior and Teen session from LMCP includes a Fashion Consult where Lacey and you styles all of your looks and where you decide on locations for your shoot.

McKenna’s final look was the boldest and brightest of the day! We chose a fun and funky corner in Land Park to finish off the day. Before we got started, Mai, one of my hair and makeup artists who we book with for headshots and senior sessions, did McKenna’s third look. That’s right, we have an ultimate glam option for Senior Sessions and Empowerment photoshoots which includes, three different hairstyles and three different makeup looks. Your artist or artists are with us throughout the day touching up your looks and changing them into a new style that will enhance your outfits! HMUA info here!

I can’t decide which of these looks and locations is my favorite but I can say, this McKenna is my favorite McKenna!

Please show her all the love and give her all the flowers for not only battling broken bones, finishing her senior year strong, working part-time, and officially getting into PACE university! Congrats grad!!! We are so proud of you!

Read about McKenna’s experience in her own words below and then leave a comment and tell us something you liked!

1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Senior Couture Session?

I’ve been working with Lacy since I was a freshman, 3 years later, it was a no brainer that she would take my senior pictures!!

2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?

I wanted the shoot to embrace the version of myself that I am right now and we did exactly that! From the outfits, to the locations, I felt that every look embodied a different part of my personality!

3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?

The sequin jumpsuit of course!! I felt like a Barbie!! We even played music from the movie during the shoot! Shooting with Lacey never fails to make me feel like the main character!

4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?

Once again, the Barbie moment for sure!

5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?

Not one thing! I can honestly attest to the fact that every time I work with Lacey, my vision is always honored!

6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?
Thank you so much!

I am currently in the college audition process and plan to receive my BFA in musical theatre. I love the arts, they are so important and it deserves a shout out!

7. How has being on TeamLMCP impacted you?

Being on TeamLMCP and working with Lacey has been nothing short of a wonderful experience. From my first day working with her, my ideas have honored, and I have felt validated. I never once questioned how I looked because I always felt beautiful and valued inside and out. Having the opportunity to work with LMCP over my highschool years has been transformative, helping me gain confidence, and feel comfortable in who I am!

8. Any advice you want to give incoming Seniors of the Class of 2026?

Take it all in! Go to school even though the senioritis is bad, I promise it’s worth it!!!
