I LOVE being able to create personal and professional settings for clients who book with me for their Personal Branding Sessions. These sessions are under the umbrella of my Headshot Sessions but are more detailed and way more customizable than a Industry Headshot Package.

This amazing woman is the newly appointed Chief Wellness Officer with the UC Davis Med Center and is an accomplished Pediatrician as well. We know Sara from performing at the Sacramento Comedy Spot, she’s a regular performer as well as being the residing President of the Sacramento Comedy Spot Board of Directors.

There was so many wonderful moments from this photoshoot but don’t take our word for it, Sara wrote us a testimonial that you can read below:

"I booked Lacey for a professional branding shoot, and from start to finish, it was amazing. Leading up to the shoot with the questionnaire and consult call, Lacey immediately understood what I was going for and began coordinating settings and locations to capture the essence of my shoot. She guides you through the entire experience which was helpful because this was my first professional photoshoot experience. The day was so much fun. All I had to do was show up. I loved my hair and make up, which I highly recommend so you can just sit back and enjoy being pampered that morning. Lacey and her team assembled my outfits so they were ready to go. She taught me how to pose naturally and made me feel like I have been professionally modeling for years. I had so much fun and felt so empowered the entire time. The photos turned out more amazing than I could have imagined. I am so happy with the entire experience and encourage everyone to invest in a photoshoot with Lacey. You will love your photos and the experience of working with such a talented and fun professional."

Thank you Sara! We are so honored to have had you in and that your experience was one of confidence, kindness, and play. :)

Here’s what Dr. Sara had to say about her Personal Branding Session: 1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Personal Branding Session?

I've seen Lacey's work on social media and through the Sacramento Comedy Spot. I was impressed with her creativity and professional skill. When I decided to gift myself a professional branding session, I knew I wanted to experience it with Lacey since she's highly skilled/talented and a friend.

2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?

I thought it would be busy, jumping from place to place, and hectic. It was the opposite of that. The day was so relaxing and smooth; my make-up time was chill, and the actual photo-shoots were relaxed and fun despite being a full day. Learning how to pose was fun and Lacey made it so smooth and easy; she made me feel like I've been modeling for years. The way they took care of outfits and backdrop changes seamlessly behind the scenes made it feel so smooth, efficient, and well orchestrated.

3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?

I loved the shots of me in the light purple dress, sitting in the chair. I also really liked the pics of me in the hot pink shirt and the wide legged pants. (See below!) The funny thing is that I was least drawn to my white coat photos because I think my priorities are changing.

4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?

Wearing my white button down with the wide-legged pants, sitting/standing in power poses, while Lacey helped me envision me as a millionaire on summer vacation. (our blog cover photo!!) Even though I ended up selecting only one of those photos, I felt so powerful, equally feminine and masculine, and generally a bad ass. At that point, Lacey had helped me work through poses that I felt like I've been modeling for years. It was a really fun and powerful moment.

5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?

I probably would have done less photos of me as a medical professional. I had the most enjoyment NOT being a doctor which speaks to where my head/heart is at, but also, I was able to get the medically professional photos I wanted so I'm glad we got it. I loved getting my hair and make up done; I liked my 2nd make-up more because it looked more fun than the natural look so next time I'd probably just opt for 1 make-up and have it be more dramatic since I tended to like those looks more. Other than that, I loved everything about the experience.

6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?

I'm just so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience an LMCP photoshoot. Lacey is so good that she makes it look and feel so easy, and that is a testament to how skilled and talented she is. Her team was wonderful and made the day easy and fun. I had the best time and will cherish that day and the photos to commemorate this moment in my life.
