Taylor W.'s Gorgeous Teen Session

Taylor is a total California girl, she is bright, funny, and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. During Taylor's fashion consult I found out that she absolutely loves the color pink and loves to access her girly side but she also has a really cool edgy side to her as well. Taylor is one of those girls that stops traffic. She has legs for days, she's so fun to be around, and has such a cool sense of style. Can I be her when I grow-up?

FIRST LOOK

For Taylor's first look we headed to one of my favorite spots here in Sacramento California. This really cool alley that has bright colorful graffiti everywhere. I felt like these bright bold colors matched her fun personality and the uptown chic vibe of the look she chose. I am a total sucker for a pink plaid and this jacket was giving me all the Clueless vibes.

SECOND LOOK

Taylor opted for the on-location package with our hair and makeup team, so she had these amazing professionals with her all throughout the shoot. This allows you to change up your hair and makeup looks in between your outfit changes. For instance, they are also there to touch up any makeup and fly away as needed. It's totally worth the money! Taylor's second look is super sweet, her mom Tiffany had seen me use this location on Instagram and requested it, so we headed there for her second look. I think the juxtaposition of the tool skirt and floral top with the buildings was perfect and really made the outfit and Taylor POP!

THIRD LOOK

After that we headed back to the studio and Taylor was transformed into this edgy, chic, model. Taylor wanted one of her looks to be atypical of her personal style. However, I applaud her for getting out of her comfort zone and I think it paid off! Hairstylist Heather Grabin really hit it out of the park with the gorgeous edgy braid and curls. It was the perfect dichotomy of glam and edgy which is exactly what Taylor is!

Pairing this HMU look with a Zara top & pants and an Off-White brand belt, Taylor was all the fashion-forward rage and she totally embodied this look! I couldn't hold back from doing just a white backdrop. I had to pull down this gorgeous red drop I got from savage seamless paper for a few close-ups. It turned out that it really made her pop and I absolutely love the way it turned out.

After Taylor's session, I asked her and her mom Tiffany if they would love to opt for the "Publication" option add-on. This is never a guarantee but if I feel a shoot has the potential to make it into a magazine, I always love to submit. Well, my instincts were right and Taylor's shoot was accepted to Teen Cruze Magazine! We also were able to include a previous shoot with Taylor we had done earlier in the year.
