McKenna is stunning in so many ways y’all and I am so happy to showcase her Posh Teen Session we had last Fall! She first came to me to do some test shots and she instantly became a muse! She is professional, always learning, focused, funny, so talented, and has many years of success ahead of her. She joined our Team LMCP 2022 team and has been a pillar of support and inspiration for the whole team. I absolutely love being behind the camera when McKenna and her mom, Nancy are involved and I’m so happy you get to see the finished product here! We had a really lovely day that started in my Sacramento photo studio where McKenna got her hair and makeup done by the amazing Mai! She opted for just the 1 hair and 1 makeup look package. This year we have three amazing HMUA options for your photoshoots! Once our HMUA was done we headed to Downtown Sacramento where I love to photograph almost all year round. The Capitol Park has so many type of foliage and trees to shoot with. The rose garden was especially gorgeous this day and it complimented McKenna’s first outfit so well! This first outfit just barely sneaked out as my favorite look of the day. Onto our second look, which happened to be a fourth bonus look, still at the park. The roadway leading up to the Capitol Building is lined with trees that makes a beautiful frame for photographs. After we finished up with these two looks we traveled across Sacramento’s midtown neighborhood to the fun and groovy mural. McKenna’s favorite look was the brown toned outfit with really fun patterned pants. It was a beautiful day outside and you can really tell in these pictures that the weather was perfect. It was a hard day in Sacramento to top that’s for sure.
We ended are day where we began, at my Sacramento photostudio! McKenna is a HUGE music fan so I did a living room set with some records and a player. It was so fun to finish the day in this cozy place. I’m literally living out my dream job and days like this are the reason I love it so much! We interviewed McKenna for our blog and here’s what she had to say:
1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Posh Teen Session?
I had the honor of working with Lacey on a project before and absolutely loved the atmosphere she created and couldn’t imagine having a session with anyone else!
2. What did you envision your individual photoshoot would be like?
I pictured a 60s mod dream and a chill natural look and got both!
3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?
The 70s mixed patterns look!
4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?
ALL OF IT! From feeling like a princess getting my hair and makeup done, to getting hyped up while shooting. I genuinely loved it all.
5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?
I don’t think so! I loved how my shoot went and would use it as a blueprint for other shoots to come!
6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?
Shooting with Lacey is the best! I feel so loved and beautiful in front of the camera. As a model of a larger size, I get nervous about clothing that’ll fit, etc. But with Lacey I feel so beautiful and supported. Every human needs a shoot with Lacey, you won’t regret it!
