Ava’s Ultimate Tween Couture Session | Sacramento, CA
On a perfectly sunny Sacramento day in August I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing Tween, Ava! I have known of Ava and her mom, Allison for several years as many former Team LMCP models have also been company dancers at Elite Studio Of Dance! It was so special to have finally been able to carve out time in both our women owned businesses to create a special and life changing day for this incredible girl!
She chose to go with our GLAM TWEEN SESSION ( on our website it is the equivalent of our Posh Teen Session) which consists of 3 styled looks from the LMC Style Closet , a swag bag, LMCP Water bottle, and choice of various Product Collection packages! As a cherry on top they opted for 3 HMUA looks! (HMUA= Hair and MakeUp Artist). She went full into the experience and it totally paid off! Every one of her looks was stunning on her. We had more images than I could show! We were able to go to a few of my favorite photoshoot locations around Sacramento and I’m so excited to take you along for the ride!
Our first two looks took us to downtown Sacramento to a couple of my favorite locations to shoot. The day was surprisingly bearable, considering it was late August! When you’re a photographer you are constantly location scouting when out and about. When I'm in old Sacramento, downtown Sacramento, midtown Sacramento, east Sacramento, or even along the American River I am visualizing if spaces would be suitable for my teens and senior portraits! Especially looking for shaded areas to hide in from the hot Sacramento sun! :)
Our HMUA team for this photoshoot were two LMCP MVPs for many of my photoshoots. The incomparable Sara Garcia created three stunning makeup looks and Heather Grabin created three amazing hairstyles! You can see below Heather at work on our second stop in downtown Sacramento. Fun fact, you have the option to include our hair and makeup artists to any of our Teen and Senior Portraits! It’s optional for our Tweens, guys, and for our non-binary folks.
Before we finished our photoshoot with Ava’s third hair and makeup look back at my Sacramento photo studio we HAD to get a few images of Ava with their most precious baby, Jersey! Jersey is so gentle and so sweet. Allison’s shadow in a way. She never left her side and found my various dog beds in my studio and slept for the rest of Ava’s Tween Portraits photoshoot!
For Ava’s final LMC Styled look we went for an edgier hair and makeup look. She totally embodied this more serious look. I loved how professional Ava was all day. I always give my clients a heads up about how much work a photoshoot is. It’s many hours of work and takes more out of people than they think! Ava gave her all and created a persona for every look, I’m so proud of her! Allison said Ava told her on the way to my photo studio in Sacramento “this is way more work than I though it would be but I’m loving it!” :)
My favorite images are of Ava in our ball pit! I love the green modern cat eye Sara created! So did Ava, these are some of her favorites but to be honest, the cover image we chose was Ava’s absolute favorite picture of herself. :) I’m so happy Ava and her mom Allison had such a good time. It is always my goal to create a space that my clients feel empowered and celebrated. If they build more confidence or find something new about themselves from their tween, teen, and senior portraits than my job is worth it. If you’re inspired to get your portraits or headshots done by me, I’d love to have you! You can get in touch with me here!
Stay kind my friends,
LMCP
