“A Night In” Published in Vigour Magazine

At the beginning of this year, 2024, I had my Senior Team and my Teen Teams joined me at my Sacramento photo studio for a Pastels inspired editorial photoshoot. As a senior portrait photographer in Sacramento I am always on the look out for new and emerging trends. Pastels were a very popular 2024 NYFW trend that we had conveniently done an entire photoshoot for just one month before.
Our goal with the editorial photoshoots is to submit to fashion magazines around the world to get published. This year every single model was accepted into a magazine submission. CONGRATULATIONS LMCP TEAM!!! I am so proud of this group of hard working teens. One of the class of 2024 seniors on the Senior Team, Stevie was chosen to be on the cover of Vigour teen’s February 2024 issue. She not only got the cover but her image was the title image for the set I decided to call “A Night In”.
Some back story on the inspiration for “A Night In”: I wanted to recreate this idea as an homage from my own teenage years when my friends and I would have a sleepover, get dressed up but really have nowhere to go, so we would do each others hair and makeup and have 'fashion shows' in our rooms. The styling from LMC Style Closet, the set production myself and my office manager Michelle created, and the INCREDIBLE work that our beloved HMUA team put into this truly made this photoshoot shine. It was a team effort and felt like a fun sleep over.
