Bella's Teen Portraits: A Window into an Aspiring Model

Bella and her mom contacted us last Spring for a Portfolio Development Session and I was so excited to get start on it. I love shooting Portfolio Development Sessions offered on my website because there a great opportunity to chat with moms and their teens about the ins and outs of the photography and modeling industries. When the day finally came I knew I just had to ask if they would be interested in being a part of my Teen Influencer Team. THEY AGREED! So after our session Bella and her mom went through the process of signing up for a spot on what is now my final Teen Team. (Don’t worry! I will definitely be continuing the Senior Team, so class of 2025 your turn is coming!)
We met early at my Sacramento photo studio to prep Bella with her HMUA (that’s Hair and MakeUp). Mai was her artist and she, like usual, did an amazing job at giving Bella a flawless natural ethereal make up look. She paired this with loose effortless looking curls. Perfect for casting headshots! Thank you, Mai!
Once we were set with our hair and makeup we caravanned down to Capitol Park in Downtown Sacramento to find the blooming Lavendar and gorgeous Cacti garden. If you haven't taken a stroll around Capitol Park you are missing out! It is accessible with flat surfaces and wide cement pathways throughout. You can walk through every type of foliage the great state of California homes all in this park! Its totally worth a trip to Sacramento to see.

We headed back to my professional photo studio in Sacramento for some more traditional studio modeling images. Things casting agents need and look for like headshots and casting images. We opted for a basic white tank top and jeans that we could change up with several jackets! I just loved how each jacket created a different narrative for the classic jeans and tank top look.
Then finally, sadly, we did a bonus look that was out of sight. :)
I just LOVE the print of these denim flare jeans. We paired it with a cute rust tank and added a fun flair leather jacket! You may have seen this look before on the blog.
