Katelyne - Teen Headshots

We wanted to do a fun fresh teen headshot session for Katelyne. The beauty of in-studio shots is that they can be done at any time of the day or year! Here in Sacramento, it gets extremely hot in the Summertime and I typically avoid putting my clients in  3 digit weather for their photoshoot! It's morning sessions or bust! You can book a morning session too and end it at the AC-cooled studio when the temperatures rise!For Katelyne's teen headshot session, we wanted to expand her portfolio by adding beauty work like skincare and lotion shots to her repertoire. One of my favorite things to shoot is Beauty. However, Katelyne is just starting out her modeling career and as you can see, she's a natural. Commercial beauty portraits typically don't involve bold makeup looks. The makeup is clean and the eyes are the focus of the shot.

The following is important to know when booking a session:

Don’t kid yourself by thinking that you can do it without a professional makeup artist & hairstylist. These images require expertise, especially when it comes to natural beauty portraits. For example, Katelyne's makeup for these teen headshots took about an hour of prep-work. Although Katelyne has gorgeous skin, it's important to even out the tones without making it look overdone. It's important to highlight when needed and create realistic contours that enhance her natural bone structure.
