Alison - Model Portfolio

Model Portfolios are important to have and maintain. For this shoot Alison Church was looking to update her model portfolio.  Alison is a natural beauty with a unique look.  She also happens to be a posing goddess.  For her session I chose to style with Modern Western vibes. We did three different looks in total.To create the first look I wanted a more even and soft light while making sure Alison's highlights still stood out.  To achieve this I used a shoot through umbrella and a silver reflector. This helps soften any lines or blemishes and can really flatter mature skin.Continuing with the first look, I added a jacket and decided to have some fun with ice lights.  This allowed me to get some colorful close up photos for Alison's Model Portfolio. With a different color ice light coming from opposing sides I was able to get this cool, darker look.  It was a lot of fun.Finally, for the last two looks I used a silver umbrella which is great for youthful skin like Alison's. When taking photos the silver umbrella helps to further juxtapose the highlights and contours of the subjects face, creating a more dramatic look.  However, if you have lived a longer life the silver umbrella will likely highlight all those lovely laugh lines that we may want to soften instead. ;)This was a great shoot and it was a pleasure to work with Alison.
