Madi’s Senior Portraits | Sacramento, CA

Sacramento Senior Yearbook photo, Portrait.

I write this blog with a bittersweet feeling. Madi has been a part of the LMCP Team since her sophomore year of high school and this past August, we completed her Senior Portraits photoshoot all throughout Sacramento. Madi is a competition dancer, a ballerina, a dance teacher to kids beginning their dancing careers, a part of her high schools ASB Club, and just an all around generous, creative and beautiful young woman!

Madi and her mama, the AMAZING Kelly went all out for their last solo photoshoot. She got the Couture session package and our ultimate HMUA package of 3 hair and 3 makeup looks. Here’s a little about what this HMUA package entails: Opting for this package means you are going FULL OUT! This is the editorial model package! You will have custom hair & makeup for 3 looks.

Mai was our hair AND makeup artist for the full day photoshoot and she did a great job! SIX looks total from her and every one was magazine ready. I love working with Mai, she is always professional and willing to help make the photoshoot run smoothly. She’s also extremely kind and funny! Check out her website and request her for your next photoshoot with Lacey M. Carroll Photography!

Our bonus look was an ode to photoshoots past. Madi has has chosen three tiered dresses and I felt it was only right that for her final Senior and Teen Portraits with me we had another…you’ll have to ask her about the significance of those traffic cones yourself. lol To see the earlier dresses, check out her blog post here!

Watching Madi grow these past few years in confidence, poise and independence has been incredible, and getting to know her and her mom Kelly are exactly why I love what I do. Kelly has been a stalwart of support, kindness and friendship since getting to know her, and not having them both on the team after Madi graduates will be so hard.

I asked Madi to answer a few questions about her Senior Portraits in Sacramento experience and this is what she had to say about it:

1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Senior Couture Session?

I chose Lacey M. Carroll as my photographer for my senior photos because I have been on the team for a few years now and have loved every minute  of it. So what better way then to go out with her doing my senior photos.

2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?

I envisioned for my photo shoot was plain and simple. I wanted my outfits to be cute and simple. I love the extravagant looks I have done in the past but I like the simple ones better.

3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?

The look that turned out to be my favorite was my first one. I was in the middle of the road, I had a cute dress on my cowboy boots and a hat. What more does a girl need?

4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?

My favorite moment of the photo shoot was when we were back at the studio getting ready for my last look. It was an extravagant look and I was sitting there and then I just fell asleep. Everyone started laughing. haha!

5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?

No everything went perfect. There is nothing I would change about this photo shoot.

6. Anything you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?

Lacey will always make your dreams come true for your photo shoot. There isn’t any dream she can’t create.
