Makenna | LMCP Team Teen Shoot
On a hot afternoon in September, Makenna (who is also an LMCP 2021 Team Gal) had Teen Couture session! Little did we know, (though we should have) it being September in Sacramento California, that it would be a grueling evening in the sweltering heat. Big shout out to Michelle, Makenna’s mom for being my reflector savior and stellar assistant during our shoot!
You wouldn’t even know how hot it was looking at Makenna’s pictures. She’s cool as a cucumber in every shot. I mean, look at her above, she’s handling the elements like the pro that she is.
Channeling Twiggy in this Mod inspired look. My favorite shot of the day is the center image above.
I love the look of these terracotta leather pants! Finding a building in downtown Sacramento with the same color was the perfect color moment for our photoshoot.
I think you can really see from the pictures above and below how much personality Makenna has. She is the life of the party and always so goofy and loves to put the other Team LMCP girls at ease, with her happy-go-lucky personality. Working with Makenna means having an upbeat and silly time between images. Don’t let that class clown vibe fool you though, the moment it’s time to get to work Makenna can snap into model mode!
Makenna is a lover of all things outdoors. She loves being on the water doing water sports like wake boarding, and jet skiing. Along with being an avid outdoorsy teen Makenna is a member of her local 4-H club. Could you imagine this etherial goddess mucking horse stalls?
I cannot get over how stunning Makenna looks in all of the outfits she chose from the LMC Style Closet. Our glam squad for the shoot did such a great job accentuating Makenna’s natural beauty.

If you thought I was done bragging about how well rounded Makenna is, you’d be wrong. She’s a twin! She’s got a brother who is super cool too!

Yeehaw! I have to admit my favorite look of the day was this modern boho western look. We played some country tunes of some of our favorite country goddesses from Dolly Parton, to Kacie Musgrave’s to Carrie Underwood to get into the vibes of this look!

Hope you loved reading about Makenna’s Teen Couture photoshoot! Fun BTS fact about it, since the temperature was over 100 we cut the outdoor shoot short and I’m so glad we did because we got to create a surprise fourth look back in my Sacramento photo studio! That’s right, the blue background MOD look was unplanned and honestly, one of my favorite parts of the day. Thanks for being such a trooper Makenna! Just goes to show, there’s always room for surprise during a Lacey M. Carroll photoshoot.
