Sweet and darling Makenna is so fun to work with! She's been a member of the LMCP Team for two years and I have loved seeing her talent and confidence shine! She’s lives outside of Sacramento but within the 100 mile limit to be on the team and I so appreciate her and her mom, Michelle’s dedication to be a part of the team! She’s so silly and is always making our team photoshoots a supportive and relaxing environment for some of the newer spokesmodels on the team.
Makenna is a former member of her local 4H club, has property with chickens and goats! She loves all farm animals! Her number one dream for her individual Posh Teen Session was to have a photoshoot with Alpacas…and I knew we needed to deliver!!! Thanks to Belvoir Mine Alpacas we were able to set up a time to go. The best news is they had many new babies born on the farm the week before! Yes, BABY ALPACAS!!! Belvoir Mine is in the Sierra Foothills just outside of Sacramento and is a sweet little Alpaca farm that is funded entirely by donations. I highly suggest you set up a time to go visit. Be sure to bring money for a donation. All the proceeds go directly back into feeding and caring for the sweet alpacas you will meet.
Two of Makenna’s three looks we did at the farm and for her final look we headed back to Sacramento to my Sacramento Photo studio to shoot indoors! I love natural outdoor lighting but I REALLY love having a photoshoot in my studio. Makenna and her mom opted for a one hair and make up look and Mai, one of the HMU Artists I work with did a fantastic job and giving her an effortless hairstyle and dewey makeup glow. After Mai did Makenna’s hair and makeup we all caravanned up to the Alpaca farm for a golden hour photoshoot! Do you see how beautiful these alpacas are?!?! I just love animals and being able to have a photoshoot with gentle and fluffy Alpacas was a highlight of the end of 2022! I want to give Makenna a huge shout out for being so calm and professional with these sweet animals. In the past, I’ve had client get nervous or scream when working with large animals, so I have a rule now that the client MUST have experience and be comfortable with farm animals like Makenna does. She was gentle and confident and calm. Just perfect!
We headed back down the hill into Sacramento once more to finish up our Posh Teen session at my Professional Photography Studio. We finished off with Makenna in her natural toned jumpsuit because I really wanted that look to be shot under studio lighting as well as in the golden hour sun! Loved how both locations turned out!

We then moved to our final look at my Sacramento photo studio and had so much fun playing with angles and lighting. It’s always such a pleasure having women like Mai and Michelle (Makenna’s mom) at photoshoots because these amazing women know what they’re doing and offer a lot of support during photoshoots.

I love her style and the way she makes me feel confident.
2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?
I wanted to have fun on an alpaca farm looking glam!
3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?
My favorite look was when I was wearing a denim, blue dress.
4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?
When I got to hold a baby alpaca.
5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?
I wouldn’t change one thing! It was perfect.
