The Gift of Lyla - Teen Couture
It’s Christmas in July and had to gift you with this photoshoot I did with Lyla.
Lyla was on Team LMCP for 2 years. Having her around was always such a gift and here’s why:
Lyla is currently a Freshman in HS and is active in Volleyball. Being on a team comes naturally to Lyla, she’s always lift others up and working towards the betterment of all her teammates on the court, and in front of the camera.
As you can see, Lyla is stunningly gorgeous but beyond that, she is what being an LMCP spokesmodel is all about. Sweet, kind and thoughtful. Lyla and her family have joined me for photoshoots in Santa Cruz, the Utah Salt Flats and Austin, TX! Being on Team LMCP gets you the opportunity to travel for photoshoots before any other models are asked to join. Kind of like a VIP all access pass to once in a lifetime photoshoot opportunities.
Looking at these images from our photoshoot really takes me back to a groovy time. :) Every teen and senior session includes a Fashion Consult session where you can mix and match items from home and from the LMCP Style Closet that I style for you. Once your retainer and date are scheduled the real fun begins…like making your Pinterest mood board and trying on outfits in my Style Closet.
I have to admit, In-N-Out is a really fun place to take some pictures. The throw back red and white diner vibes inside and out complimented Lyla’s second look of the day. Her checkerboard waffle knit top with some short over-alls and pink combat boots from my Style Closet turned our working lunch into a full blown professional looking photoshoot!
Here is the best part of that shoot… see that little cutie in the car? That’s Lyla’s little brother Charlie in the car! WE DID NOT PLAN THIS! Charlie was finishing up a softball game and wanted In-N-Out! Lyla’s dad called and said “I think I see you guys!” BEST PHOTOBOMB EVER!

Sara Garcia was MUA for this Teen Couture session we did in 2021. She’s been one of my core make up artists for years and seeing her work, you can tell why. :) I am so grateful to know and work along side Sara to create stunning looks for not only our Team LMCP folks but also for professional headshots, branding shoots, and commercial photography work throughout the years. :)
I’ll let you in on a little BTS from this session too…I was photographer AND hair stylist for this day! Big thanks to Lyla for trusting me with her beautiful strawberry blonde locks!
Our third and final look took us to Downtown Sacramento atop my favorite parking structure. The city views along with the Capitol really make images pop. Lyla truly shined in this couture dress. It was like the dress came to life, She gave so much emotion and posed so well in it. I’m so glad we were able to get the images that we did. We had some time at the end of day so I suggested we take some more images in my Sacramento photo studio. The one’s we took at my studio became some of Lyla and her mom’s ultimate favorites of this entire Teen Couture Session!
We styled this green dress with some industrial like accessories to give it a bit of some edge. I really love how they work together! I also really loved working with Lyla and her mom AND Sara over the years. To watch Lyla grow into a thriving happy teen has been a pleasure, especially behind my camera where I can capture her true essence.
